Program Director: Jody Proudfit
Joining PA Freestyle for the 2015-16 as the Program Director, Jody is an accomplished skier and snowboarder. Jody grew up in southern Colorado at Cuchara Valley Resort where he started skiing at age 3. He started racing at 8 years old as part of the USSA-RM Division. After moving to Michigan he turned his attention towards coaching.
While in college he received his PSIA certification and became the assistant director at Mt. Brighton supervising a staff of over 125 instructors. In addition to teaching all level of skiing and snowboarding he was a race coach and events supervisor for the resort.
Professional life has afforded Jody the opportunity to expand beyond the resort. From 1998 to 2006 he was the Director of Snowboarding for a private ski and snowboard club in Metro-Detroit. While in this position he built the freestyle requirements as way to push younger athletes beyond just being proficient.
As part of PA Freestyle Jody is looking to build a solid foundation to find the next great Freestyle Skier and Snowboarder.

WPRC racer many years ago (always in trouble for wanting to ski bumps and finding jumps) obsessed with snow ( in high school invented my own snowmaking system which I still use on hill at home
Reside in Brownsville PA with wife Rachel, son Tyler, daughter Jessie (both are current young gun team members).
